Sabrina Impacciatore’s Start on a New Show Sabrina Impacciatore, a star of the new mockumentary series The Paper, shared a memorable story about the first day of filming. She revealed that The Office stars Steve Carell and John Krasinski surprised the cast by visiting the set to wish them luck.

Impacciatore told Entertainment Weekly that she and the other actors were feeling anxious on the first day when they heard a knock on the door of their trailer. To their astonishment, Carell and Krasinski entered. Impacciatore, who was a huge fan of The Office U.S., said the surprise visit was like a “blessing.” She explained that the two actors were at the same studio filming a commercial for Lavazza, an Italian coffee brand she’s always loved.
Before joining the cast of The Paper, Impacciatore had already traveled from Rome to New York to see Carell in the Broadway play Uncle Vanya. She told The Office U.S. creator, Greg Daniels, that she wanted to send Carell a message, and he informed her that Carell was in the city. Impacciatore then went to the theater’s green room and waited for him. She said she was “shaking” when she met him, and asked for his “blessing” for her new show. Impacciatore recalled that Carell was “sweet” and “warm,” and encouraged her, saying, “These people are brilliant. You are going to have the best experience of your life. You’re going to be great.” She added that his words gave her confidence and that she would never forget the encounter.
The Paper is a mockumentary created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. It’s set in the same universe as The Office, following the same documentary crew as they search for a new subject. They end up in Toledo, Ohio, where they follow a historic newspaper called The Truth Teller as its publisher tries to revive it.
The series features a cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key. The show also has several guest stars, such as Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim, and Tracy Letts.
